Will assist in the management of public relations and oversee governmental affairs (lobbying). Maintain long term relationships with federal, state, and local governmental agencies, boards, commissions, and elected officials to enhance cooperative interaction for positive results. Be able to offer and coordinate local, state and national political candidates and incumbents all the necessary campaign components under to wage highly effective and successful campaigns. Deliver winning strategies, effective advertising, top-notch writing and graphic design, as well as insightful media relations with new and mainstream media. Conduct campaigns for or against government initiatives. Must be able to rise above the pack by organizational support or opposition to initiatives before governmental bodies, and deliver a solid, results-oriented campaign.

Agency, Board or Commission Presentation: Will present client’s positions before governmental entities to acquire acceptance, permits, licenses, or conformity with regulatory mandates.

Permitting: Able to help clients through the maze of any permitting process whether it is at the local, state, or federal level. Have extensive experience in all areas of permitting from land based to offshore projects.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in performing all aspects of lobbying and campaign strategy; A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid driver’s license; Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; Oral and written communication skills; Self-starting individual who follows directions and procedures, adheres to a work schedule and can focus on details; Interpersonal (people) skills; Be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/ attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and outside contacts and agencies; Posses analytical and reconciliation skills, necessary for problem solving and decision making; Able to successfully perform multiple tasks and abbreviated deadlines; Must be able to understand financial impacts of decisions and courses of action; Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office. Para-Legal Certificate in Real estate plus; Military Service a plus.
