Must have significant experience in dating antique properties, landmarks, and homes. Have the knowledge and resources to coordinate historical dating techniques with land record research, and prepare all National Historic Landmark and state level archaeological and historical documentation. Ability and experience covering a wide range of disciplines including: all phases of archaeological surveys; dating all types of buildings and structures from individual homes to industrial complexes; National Register, HABS, and HAER documentation; historical research; industrial history; 4(f) preparation; bridge documentation; transportation corridor related surveys; utility corridor and site related survey; and historic landscape survey. Must be familiar with any type of historic resource, above or below ground - on land or off.

Connected with superior laboratory facilities, and related services, which include: artifact conservation, lithic usewear analysis, and historic and prehistoric artifact identification and analysis are a plus. Advise preservation planning with impact mitigation measures.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in performing all aspects of historical dating and resource management; A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid driver’s license; Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; Oral and written communication skills; Self-starting individual who follows directions and procedures, adheres to a work schedule and can focus on details; Interpersonal (people) skills; Be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/ attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and outside contacts and agencies; Posses analytical and reconciliation skills, necessary for problem solving and decision making; Able to successfully perform multiple tasks and abbreviated deadlines; Must be able to understand financial impacts of decisions and courses of action; Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office; Military Service a plus.
