HEIR SEARCHERS

Proficient in searching for specific individuals, “classes” of individuals, or groups of people (related or unrelated). Will search for one specific named person, multiple related persons, and “Heirs at Law”. Identify heirs for an estate or trust following local laws requiring that the heirs are located in order of consanguinity. This is especially pertinent for situations of Intestacy, For Notice, Trust Under Will, or locating heirs for purposes of clearing title to real estate.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in performing all aspects of heir research and locating; A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid driver’s license; Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; Oral and written communication skills; Self-starting individual who follows directions and procedures, adheres to a work schedule and can focus on details; Interpersonal (people) skills; Be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/ attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and outside contacts and agencies; Posses analytical and reconciliation skills, necessary for problem solving and decision making; Able to successfully perform multiple tasks and abbreviated deadlines; Must be able to understand courses of action; Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office; Military Service a plus.
