Must be able to produce appraisal reports, update reports, and data books in conformance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices, Standards of the Appraisal Institute, and governing sections of state statutes. Our professional appraisers must be impartial third parties. All values are determined by performing in-depth research, analyzing same, and applying appropriate information pertinent to each parcel. The criteria utilized includes: comparable properties; “over the fence valuations”, costs of replacing or reproducing buildings; the value of a property’s net earning power; current neighborhood real estate activity and market trends; and years of experience and familiarity with local real estate markets. Must be fully licensed and meet all regulations and safety standards.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; Have a minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in performing all aspects of appraisal work; Must have Errors and Omissions Insurance (E&O); A satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company and a current, valid driver’s license; Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; Oral and written communication skills; Self-starting individual who follows directions and procedures, adheres to a work schedule and can focus on details; Interpersonal (people) skills; Be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/ attitude with co-workers, clients, vendors, and outside contacts and agencies; Posses analytical and reconciliation skills, necessary for problem solving and decision making; Able to successfully perform multiple tasks and abbreviated deadlines; Must be able to understand financial impacts of decisions and courses of action; Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office. Para-Legal Certificate in Real estate plus; Military Service a plus.
